We wanted our film to look independent and to also have in a
superhero, villain, action and a comedy feel to it. In our logo we made them look
like a comic book style and used parodies of superhero movies and companies. To
immediate introduce audience to the comedic undertones in our film. From the beginning of our film opening you
are cut directly to the main action which is shown in a mid shot being
thrown in the wall, This is to make our
audience became interested in our film. It also breaks the traditional linear
narrative structure by showing the last battle before the opening titles. If we
had carried on with our film we would have caught up with the fright scene and
would have told the rest of the story. In the next shot you are able to see the
villain for the first time in a mid 2 close up shot. This is showing that we
have copied what other comic books films do and that his having a superhero and
a villain. It also explained how the superhero crashed into the wall. We then flow into mid 2 closes up shot an
Ariel shot of the hero falling to the ground and then we see him crashing into
a desk and hen a low angle. This is showing the conventions that there are a
lot of quick short shots that you are seeing the scene from 3, 4 shots. After
that we go into an over the shoulder shot from behind the superhero to make the
audience feel like they are actually there. This is to try and make the fright
scene look as brutal as what we are hoping for. The next shot is a mid 2 shot
of the hero punching the villain into the wall but once the villain hits the
wall the camera flows him to the ground. We did this so the audience could see
everything going on. As the villain is
lying on the floor we see the hero coming over him in a high angle shot, which
is a convention way of showing character in a venerable position. The hero
again throws the villain around and the pushes him into the wall in a mid 2 shot.
We have done this show that we can see both the protagonist and antagonist in
the same shot locked in battle. In the next scene we see the villain in a wide
angle shot on the floor but we are not looking down on him. The camera is on
the floor as we see the scene from his eye line we did this so that our
audience could see it though the villain perspective. Then we see the superhero
going over to the villain and touching him and seeing if he is awake. The scene
after the superhero gets up and the camera follows him and then into a mid shot
as we see the him going to punch the villains and then falls to the floor after
he is punches the superhero. We did this to getting an action ending. We did
this because this is what films are in all comic books and our audience would
want to see us put this in. In the last fright scene shot we see the hero lying
on the floor after the villain has defeated (?) hero. This is shown in a low
angle shot as you were the hero form his point of view. We then do a voice over with the hero telling
the story. We have taken this idea from comic book films such as kick ass and Spiderman.
After the voice over we go photo shot we
have done this to told the story like la jetee a French film that tells the
story in a silence still photographs way.

| We took the idea of dark comdey and that nerdness of the villain. The costumes desgin was partly taken from the superhero. |
