Reaearch Into the classfiction categrois for films



U- is sutable for everyone to watch- a U film can expolre most themaes, as long as the treatment is apporate to a young audience.

PG - Parental Gudance- This means a film is suitable for general viewing, but some scenes may be unsuitable for younger children. A PG film should not disturb a child aged around eight or older. Parents should consider whether the content might upset younger or more sensitive children.

12a - Suitable for 12 years old to watch Cinema release-  anyone aged 12 or over can go and see the film unaccompanied. The A stands for accompanied and advisory. Children younger than 12 may see the film if they are accompanied by an adult 

12- Suitable for people over the age of 12 and older- anyone aged 12 or over can go and see the film unaccompanied. The A stands for 'accompanied' and 'advisory'. Children younger than 12 may see the film if they are accompanied by an adult

15-  films suitable for people over the age of 15 and older

18- Films that are suitable for people over the age of 18 and older-

Hulk- 12A
Scott PillgrIm vs the World- 12A
The Avengers- 12A
Catwoman- 12A
Wonder Woman- PG

The categrois are here to make sure people of different ages are aloowe to see what there age alows them and so they dont have parents conplaining. Films are measured by how much action or how much horror they have in them. this could be what makes films a 12A rather then a 12.
